You have to watch this amazing TED Talk!

If you’ve been following my channel for some time now, you probably know that I like to watch TED talks, preferably in bed, on lazy Sundays. I call these moments TED in bed, and I love starting the day listening to amazing speakers talk about interesting things.

Yesterday I came across a TED talk by Adora Svitak who was about 10 years old when it was recorded! This is amazing, especially when you listen to her speech and realize how well-spoken, witty and confident she is.

This is one of the best TED Talks I’ve ever seen. Adora speaks about the importance of learning with kids, not only directly, by listening to them, but also by copying their attitude towards life.

When I think about this, I see it very clearly: we adults are so afraid! We’re the first ones to impose limits on ourselves, and most of the time we don’t even realize it. We should learn courage and freedom from kids.

Children never think about limits: they always focus on what they want and how they want, no matter how impossible it might sound! And, thinking back, we all have to admit that’s exactly how the great inventions of our time came to be.

Even in my life, I see that every great thing started with a leap of faith. Yes, I thought everything through and through. Yes, I prepared. But, essentially, I had an idea and I worked for it, instead of around it. Optimism and courage pay off!

This is truly a great talk that I think everybody should listen to! You can watch it here.
