I’ve been in New York since for two days, a city I absolutely love for all its vibe and the several different cultures, religions and ethnicities we can always find in the crowd. Besides, it was Marathon Day and there were thousands of people on the streets! It was awesome! It’s the city of opportunities and, at the same time, one of the toughest cities I’ve ever known. As the saying goes (or as the music sang by the great Frank Sinatra goes): “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere. It’s up to you, New York!”.
Despite the busy schedule that made me travel to this side of the Atlantic – which I’ll be telling you all about soon – it is always delightful to be able to stroll around through the city frenzy and catch up with some good old friends I have here. For instance, I had lunch with my good old friend João Coutinho, who has moved here a few years ago.
You’ve probably heard of him before, as he’s a renown creative director who has won numerous awards. João has worked in Portugal, Spain and São Paulo (Brazil) and is actually working here at Grey. I am extremely proud to see a fully-talented fellow Portuguese being recognized internationally for his work. João is a very down-to-earth person and it was really good to be able to see him!
