Physical activity is something that is part of my routine and is increasingly becoming an attitude, a way of living. With all the work and multiple attention focus always occupying my time, the time to exercise the body can be extremely revitalizing to me.
I still really don’t know what TRX stands for, but this suspensor trainer kit has been part of my workout for the past 6 years! I was already using it on my TV show “Dr. White”, that was filmed in 2010. The reason why I like this is because you can just set it up anywhere and use your own body weight to workout.
Nowadays, there’s really is no excuse to not working out. I realize that gyms can cost a lot of money, or be far away from your house or your workplace, but there are lots of equipments like this one, which don’t cost a lot of money and can be set up mostly anywhere.
Someone once told me (I’m not sure if it’s true) that the U.S. Navy Seals use this system for their workout because they never knew where they’d be next and they had to create a system that could create a full-body workout, which got them ready for whatever the future situation might be.
I must confess that I haven’t always been fit. I remember that there was a time when I didn’t work out for almost a year, because I was lecturing a lot, and working a lot at the Clinic, and I was filming TV shows. I hardly had any time at all to work out, but now I’m back in the game! And I can really feel the difference both physically and mentally.
My favourite “technology” to work out is something that has no technology per se. And it never ceases to amaze me that a simple suspension training system allows us to work your full-body using your own body weight, and is also great for stretching and release all the tension I’ve been accumulating all week.
Systems like this one are the ones that make me think that the answers we so often seek, whether in sport, at home, at work or any other field often come from the simplest solutions!!
And that’s something we should have in mind more often!
